Tomball requests voluntary water conservation

See it on TV? Check here.   TOMBALL, TX (KTRK) -- Due to extreme drought conditions, the Tomball Public Works Department is asking all water customers to conserve water.

While the city's public water system is operating in good condition, officials are concerned that a high water demand caused by excessive landscape and lawn irrigation during extreme drought conditions could cause unnecessary strain on the water system, forcing mandatory water restrictions.

In order to conserve the available water supply, water customers are requested to voluntarily limit the irrigation of landscaped areas to Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays for customers with a street address ending in an even number, and Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays for water customers with a street address ending in an odd number, and to water only between the hours of midnight and 10am and 8pm to midnight on designated watering days.

If you have any questions regarding water conservation, you can call the Tomball Public Works Department at 281-290-1425.
