Man found dead at park near downtown

See it on TV? Check here.  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police found a man dead at a park just south of downtown Houston early this morning.

Homicide detectives arrived at Emancipation Park on Dowling near Elgin after 4am. Right now, investigators are not saying whether this man was shot or stabbed. Police say he certainly went through some traumatic last moments because there is a trace of blood near his body.

The gates at the park were closed and locked until after officials saw the body. They have no witnesses at the scene.

At this point, authorities don't have the victim's identification but he is believed to be in his 20s. Investigators are searching the area for any possible leads.
