CYPRESS, TX (KTRK) -- A pilot was able to walk away after he was forced to make an emergency landing in a vintage World War II plane Saturday afternoon The plane landed in a field off Winding Oak near Skinner this afternoon in northwest Harris County. The left wing was damaged when the plane ended up in some trees, but the pilot wasn't hurt and was able to get out of the aircraft.
The National Transporation Safety Board is looking into the cause of the crash. They haven't said why the pilot had to land in the field.
