$1B renovation for Bush Intercontinental Airport

AP  HOUSTON -- Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport is getting an updated look.

A news conference was planned Monday afternoon to announce the $1 billion renovation project for Terminal B.

Mayor Annise Parker was scheduled to be joined by leaders of United Continental Holdings Inc. and the Houston Airport System to provide details of the upgrade.

George Bush Intercontinental is Houston's largest airport. The airport, which opened in 1969, handled more than 40 million passengers in 2010.
