  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A motorcyclist is in the hospital after crashing during a high speed chase with police.

The pursuit spanned at least 60 miles and ended on Williams Way and Highway 59 in Fort Bend County. The chase actually got started on FM 2920 and Highway 290 in Waller.

Troopers say the suspect exited 59 at Williams Way and crashed as he tried to cut through a grassy median. He was taken to a hospital in serious but stable condition.

Officials say speeds reached up to 100 miles per hour.
