Suspect in NE Harris Co. bank robbery attempt arrested

The bank robbery happened at the Community Bank of Texas off FM 2100 Friday afternoon

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- One person is in custody after a bank robbery in northeast Harris County.

It happened at the Community Bank of Texas off FM 2100 Friday afternoon. Deputies tell us the robber used an improvised device that could possibly ignite. They say it wasn't sophisticated enough to be considered a bomb.

Bloodhounds tracked the scent of the dye pack, which led to deputies to the robber. He was then arrested.

Deputies are investigating. No injuries are reported.
