Reward offered after Pecan Grove golf course vandalized

Golf carts vandalized According to investigators with the Ft. Bend County Sheriff's Office, vandals broke into a facility at the Pecan Grove Country Club and drove carts around the course, including some they left in ponds.

  RICHMOND, TX (KTRK) -- Ft. Bend County Sheriff's Office investigators and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public's help to find out who vandalized a golf course.

Deputies were called out to the Pecan Grove Country Club on January 9 after someone had broken into the club's golf cart facility. As many as six golf carts were driven into the club's pond. According to employees at the club, they were visible until heavy rains that day, after which they were completely submerged.

Investigators say 18 other carts and a beverage cart were parked at various locations around the golf course, including some parked on the greens.

Damage to the carts and facility range between $80,000 and $90,000.
