HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Dramatic surveillance video of an aggravated robbery in north Harris County has been released and police say the suspect is armed and dangerous. David Leon Hamilton is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. Police say on January 14, Hamilton entered the Greens Liquor Store on Imperial Valley when he allegedly pulled a gun from his hoodie pocket, reached over the counter and began shooting at the two victims. According to court documents, Hamilton then stole about $200 in cash from the register.
Court documents state authorities received information that Hamilton was the one who committed the robbery. Police say both of the shooting victims and a witness later identified Hamilton as the suspect from a photo array.
Hamilton, 26, has a long criminal record including assault, drug possession, theft, resisting arrest and unlawful carrying of a weapon dating back to 2002.
