HUMBLE, TX (KTRK) -- One of the Houston area's first babies of 2012 came as a New Year's Day surprise.
Yvonne Pena gave birth to a healthy baby girl at Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital in Humble at 1:01am Sunday -- a time they won't easily forget.
The baby wasn't due until the 14th, but mom went into labor just before midnight.
Daniella Marie Pena weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces.
Mother and baby are both doing well, and dad Robert Pena is a little nervous. Daniella is their first child.
The family lives in Kingwood.
