Man faces charges after allegedly secretly recording woman during sex

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A woman says she was videotaped having sex with a man in motel rooms without her knowledge, but that wasn't the end of the incident.

The woman told police that on July 27 she went to a bar with a friend and met Le Q. Hung, and then had sex with him at a motel. According to court documents, Hung allegedly recorded the encounter without the victim's consent.

The woman told police that Hung has been using the video to coerce her into continuing a sexual relationship with him for the past two months, under the pretext that he would distribute copies of the video to her husband and co-workers if she refused.

The woman says she tried to break things off with Hung, but he reportedly showed up at her workplace, followed her home and allegedly threatened to assault her husband if she refuses to see him.

The victim said that on one occasion she went to Hung's home in an effort to retrieve all the videos Hung allegedly had of them having sex in motels, and he demanded sex from her. When she refused, she says he pulled a gun on her and threatened to kill her, her child and husband and then shoot himself if she didn't have sex with him.

Court documents state that after the incident the woman pretended everything was alright and she managed to recover some videos and call the police to make a report.

Hung, 41, is charged with improper photography/visual recording and aggravated assault of a family member.

Two women charged after allegedly ingesting cocaine-filled pellets

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Two women are facing charges, accused of trying to smuggle cocaine into the US.

Azzie LaDawn Caldwell, 32, and Indira Doorga, 42, have been charged with importing cocaine into the US, conspiring to possess with intent to distribute as well as possessing with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine, United States Attorney Kenneth Magidson announced Friday. Caldwell, of Detroit, Michigan, and Doorga, a citizen of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, were arrested at Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) after it was determined they had allegedly ingested pellets containing cocaine.

The criminal complaint alleges that on Sunday, Caldwell and Doorga arrived at IAH aboard a flight from Trinidad and Tobago bound for Detroit. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents became suspicious when they received inconsistent statements from them regarding their purpose for travel, whether they knew one another or had traveled together. The investigative effort ultimately lead to x-rays, which allegedly revealed anomalies resembling pellets believed to contain a controlled substance. The women were each admitted to an area hospital.

Through further investigation, special agents of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) determined Drooga and Caldwell met in Trinidad earlier this month. Drooga had allegedly agreed to join Caldwell in importing cocaine into the United States in exchange for $20,000. According to the complaint, the women swallowed the pellets and inserted others into their vaginal canal before boarding their flight into the United States.

Caldwell and Drooga expelled a total of 38 and 51 pellets, respectively, which contained a substance that field tested positive for cocaine. Both women are in federal custody and were discharged from the hospital Thursday. They were expected to make their initial appearance before US Magistrate Judge Stephen Wm. Smith.

If convicted, each of the offenses charged carries a mandatory minimum of five years and up to a 40-year maximum term of imprisonment and millions in fines.

Man allegedly claimed cup would blow up METRO light rail train

Alan Tadeo Baker Alan Tadeo Baker, 45, is charged with terroristic threat.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Officials have charged a man with making a terroristic threat after he allegedly called in a bomb threat to Houston's light rail line.

On August 27, a METRO Transit Authority customer service operator received a phone call during which the caller said he had left a cup on the light rail vehicle that might explode, blowing up the train. According to court documents, METRO police found that the call came from a phone number belonging to Alan Tadeo Baker.

Surveillance video also reportedly showed a man who matched Baker's description board the train, place his cup in a seat and then exit again, leaving the cup behind. Officials say the surveillance video also showed the man attempting to get back on the train, but the doors had closed and the train was pulling away from the station.

Police say further investigation matched up Baker's use of his Q-card, video and audio surveillance and the recorded threatening phone call.

Baker, 45, is charged with terroristic threat, a felony charge. Bond has not been set in the case.

Police: Allegedly drunk pregnant mom left kid in car

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A pregnant mother faces several charges after police say she was found drunk outside a tattoo parlor.

The woman had her 10-month-old child in her car at the time. That girl is now in protective custody of CPS as workers try to find a suitable relative to take care of the child, and her mom sits in jail.

It was at Dagos Tattoo Shop on the North Freeway where workers say something disturbing happened early Wednesday morning. They say a seven-month pregnant woman was at the center of it all.

A tattoo worker who calls himself 'Yogi' said, "I knew she was stumbling. I knew she was on something."

Yogi says the woman, who police have now identified as Stephanie Irene Santana, 20, appeared to be heavily intoxicated when she came into Dagos at around 4am asking for a piercing.

"She asked me how long would the piercing take, and I said why would you ask me how long would it take because there is nobody in here. And she said because I have a baby in the car. That's when I asked her who's watching the baby. She said nobody, the baby is asleep," Yogi recalled.

Workers say they quickly became concerned and immediately asked Santana to leave.

Yogi explained, "I said, you know what, I can't pierce you, or even sign you up with a baby in your car. You need to go outside and tend to your baby."

Yogi says he and his coworkers called police as they watched Santana stumble back out to her car and fall asleep behind the wheel. They say her 10-month-old little girl was also sleeping, unrestrained in the passenger's seat.

"She was asleep in the car and we called the police," Yogi said. "She was asleep in the car for a long time before they got here."

Police say they found several beer bottles and some Xanax in Santana's car. They say the woman is now facing numerous charged including DWI, child endangerment and possession of a controlled substance.

"She was looking for trouble," Yogi claimed. "She got everything she deserves, because the baby was in danger and she needs to be where she needs to be."

CPS workers say the 10-month-old little girl is doing well.

Police investigating campaign sign thefts allegedly by county employee

See it on TV? Check here. HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Early voting may be going slowly, but we've learned that what's happening with one campaign is now under investigation.

The Spring Valley Police Department is investigating an employee who works for Harris County Commissioner Steve Radack. That employee was seen by an officer allegedly stealing campaign signs for a candidate for county constable Precinct 5.

Investigators tell us the signs belonged to Al Florido. We found him Tuesday at the Spring Valley Police Department talking to detectives, who called him after a plain-clothed officer witnessed the alleged theft.

Detectives say that happened on a roadway not far from the police department earlier Tuesday. The police department has asked the Harris County District Attorney's Office to decide whether to pursue criminal charges.

"Absolutely we are going to press charges. I think it's not only disrespect to the people who support me, who've given money to my campaign and other folks who've given money to other candidates who are running for office to do things right," Florido said. "I think that the cronyism and the Good Ol' Boy system in Houston, Texas, Harris County, it's time for it to come down and I want to be on the frontier of it."

Late Tuesday night, Spring Valley police told Eyewitness News the Harris County District Attorney's Office told them they need to think about whether the case warrants charges. The lead investigator says the Harris County employee was on the clock when the alleged theft occurred.

Radack says he has talked to his employee, who claims he was not supposed to be working at the time.

"I trust the police department not that much, this is a totally political thing," Radack said.

The incumbent constable in Precinct 5, Phil Camus, shows on his own re-election website an endorsement from Radack.

We will stay on top of this story and bring you further information as it develops.

Teen who allegedly shot at bullies at North Forest High appears in court

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Firing back at bullies lands a local high school student in jail. Now the teen tells a judge he was acting in self-defense when he shot at the people he claims have been tormenting him.

Incidents happen at schools all the time in Houston, but not all of them garner this kind of response. On Wednesday Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, who is leading the charge to keep North Forest ISD from closing, visited the high school one day after a 16-year-old student was shot in the leg. How the gun was slipped past metal detectors is still a mystery, but it's the second time it's happened this year.

"We are all concerned about the safety of the students and we're asking that school district do what they are doing, and that is to take this very seriously," Jackson Lee said.

North Forest High School student Warren Lewis, 18, faced a judge in court Wednesday morning for the first time. The teen's family says he had been bullied by three older students and was trying to defend himself when he brought the gun to school. It's still not clear how the gun was slipped past metal detectors there.

Prosecutors say on Tuesday after lunch, another student walked into Lewis' classroom and began questioning him about a confrontation that happened at lunch. The state says after the classroom argument, Lewis stepped out into the hallway and beckoned for the other student to fight him off campus.

Prosecutors say that's when the other student walked up to Lewis and began fighting him. Authorities say the fight ended when Lewis stopped fighting back and covered his face. The other student walked away and Lewis pulled out a small handgun from his backpack and shot, unintentionally striking a 16-year-old bystander, according to prosecutors.

On Wednesday morning, Lewis, an honors student, told the judge he was bullied, with students even showing up at his home. He says he feared for his life and his family.

"I have papers of them making reports for the longest... these same boys, they came by my house, sir," Lewis told the judge. "I'm in fear for my life and for my family's life."

"You should discuss that with your lawyer and see if that provides some sort of defense to the charge," replied the judge.

Lewis' mom says her son reported the bullies to the school more than once.

"He was so scared that he felt like he needed to protect himself because he said these boys carry guns and have been known to shoot people," said Lewis' mother, Yolanda Domino.

Lewis' mother apologized to the victim's family. The mother also said she and her son repeatedly reported the bullying to NFISD, both a written complaint and verbal complaints. The district says it has looked into the bullying accusations.

A spokesperson for North Forest ISD released a statement which read: "Regarding the claims by Mr. Lewis's mother that bullying of her son was reported to the North Forest School District, we can find no complaints filed either at the high school or the district police office about bullying of Mr. Lewis."

The school district is reviewing metal detector policies following the shooting. A district spokesperson said metal detector use was extended until 10am Wednesday.

Officials also say anything other than clear backpacks will now be banned from the high school. The school district is buying clear backpacks for all 1,285 high school students. They hope to have those purchased by next week.

The 16-year-old student's injuries are not life-threatening.

Lewis is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Bond has been set at $30,000.

Car chase suspect allegedly attempts carjacking

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police have arrested a man who first led them on a car chase in southeast Houston then allegedly attempted to carjack a woman in a last ditch attempt to evade authorities.

The chase ended shortly before 7:30pm Friday in the parking lot of the Houston Community College campus off the Gulf Freeway and Rustic, where investigators say the man then tried to carjack someone.

The scene was teeming with HPD squad cars after a group of friends who were getting ready for a night out on the town encountered an uninvited guest who'd been running from police.

"If he would have come up to me, I would have hit him in the eye with it," witness Frank DelaPortilla said while holding a car key between his fingers.

DelaPortilla says he had every intention of defending himself from the man who tried to steal his friend's daughter's SUV while she was still in the driver's seat.

"I was on the other side. I didn't know he had come back this way," he said.

Brenda Rodriguez was too upset to talk but DelaPortilla says the unidentified man startled the group while they were waiting in the parking lot of Houston Community College for another friend who happened to be HCC's president. They chose this spot as a meeting place before heading downtown to a gala.

"We saw the helicopter put the light on him over there and then he got off of it and started running this way and then he came in here," witness Frank Partida said.

The suspect had been on the run from police after a routine traffic stop. He dumped his truck near HCC after leading police on a high-speed chase for about eight miles and zig-zagging through the streets of east Houston. At one point, he was spotted driving the wrong on the Gulf Freeway; that's when the officers in pursuit backed off.

"Our policy is very clear, restrictions on chases driving the wrong way on the service road and freeway are definitely one of many reasons to terminate the pursuit," Houston Police Department Lt. David Angelo said.

The suspect was taken into custody and police say they had to shock him a Taser because he was resisting arrest.

DelaPortilla is grateful no one was hurt.

"We're going out to have a nice time, have some supper and whatever and all of the sudden this happens," DelaPortilla said.

Police have not released the driver's name. While it's unclear what charge he will face, Angelo told us he has a criminal history.

Victim's family sues strip club for allegedly over-serving drunk driver

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Too drunk to walk, but this man gets in a vehicle, drives away, and kills a teenage girl. Now the victim's family says the strip club he left that night should share the blame.

The drunk driver in the case has been convicted and is being punished. But an attorney for the family of the victim says the business he visited that night should also pay.

The victim's family is suing Legs Cabaret, the strip club which they say over-served alcohol to a patron who then drove drunk, and killed a beautiful young woman who had her whole life ahead of her.

Jasmine Smith, 18, was riding home with a friend last April on the Gulf Freeway when the vehicle she was in was rear-ended. It slammed into the guard rail and rolled. She was ejected. She died eight days later.

Loren Zoellers was convicted earlier this month of intoxication manslaughter, and given probation and 120 days in jail.

Now Smith's family is suing the bartender and the strip club that supplied his alcohol before the wreck.

"The bar is who holds the responsibility," said plaintiff's attorney, Will Womble.

He gave us this video which he says is from inside Legs Cabaret, showing Zoeller allegedly being served mixed drinks repeatedly over the course of nearly five hours before the wreck.

"What you see on the video is drink after drink, pour after pour, Mr. Zoellers is being served a mixed beverage -- seven different times," said Womble.

He says you can see what appears to be Zoellers at one point standing at the bar, unsteady. As he leaves at 2am, Zoellers walks out the front door and stops to shake the hand of a bouncer, staggering then across the parking lot where he falls and rolls across the grass before getting into his truck. Zoellers gets in the vehicle and backs into a building before driving off without turning his headlights on.

"He has not clue what is going on at this point. He is a clear danger to himself and others. He should have never gotten as far as he did," Womble said.

The wreck that killed Jasmine Smith happened just 19 minutes later.

Zoellers' blood alcohol level was measured at .20 -- nearly three times the legal limit.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving says this case highlights a problem with enforcement of laws that govern businesses that serve alcohol.

We were not able to find the bartender and an attorney for Legs Cabaret has not returned our calls for comment.

Mom of 4-year-old allegedly murdered by her boyfriend: He was my life

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The man wanted in the death of a Houston four-year-old is in custody, and the boy's mother, who's also in jail for the death, is speaking exclusively to us.

After a tearful plea by the boy's father, Michael Allen Seaton's family in Milam County convinced him to turn himself in. Soon, he will be joining his girlfriend in the Harris County Jail.

Britni Glover is considered a high-security inmate at the Harris County Jail so she was in handcuffs when we spoke with her.

Glover says in the months that she was with Seaton, he never hit her. Instead, according to investigators, her four-year-old was the target.

Dustyn Roff got to see Santa this year, but not Christmas. His mother's will be spent behind bars. Glover is charged in connection to her son's murder. Still, she's grieving like any parent would.

"It's devastating. He's gone. He was my life. I feel completely lost," Glover said.

Glover talked to us from jail just a few hours after her boyfriend, Seaton, turned himself in. He's accused of abusing the four-year-old. Houston police say last Thursday, he was so mad that Glover came home from work late, that he beat the boy so badly he died.

Police say there were signs of repeated abuse on his body. Glover admits she had noticed bruises before but says when she questioned Seaton or her son, "there was always an excuse why he had this or that on him. He just fell when they were playing or accidents happen."

And she said she "never took him to the doctor."

Seaton fled Harris County but stayed in familiar territory, his hometown near Cameron, Texas. On Tuesday afternoon with no warning, he walked into the Milam County Jail and turned himself in.

Sheriff David Greene says for days, they had been putting pressure on Seaton's relatives to convince him to surrender.

"You never know in a situation like this, you worry about a deputy running up on him somewhere or just whatever. And for his safety and the officers' safety, I'm glad he did what he did," Greene said.

On Tuesday, we also learned CPS had two previous reports of abuse involving the mother and child but a spokeswoman says when they followed up, they could never find the two.

The manager of the apartment complex where they lived says several tenants had witnessed Seaton hitting Dustyn outside.

"It was three or four people said they actually saw him strike the child," said Candlewick Apartments manager Samuel Sanders said.

But Glover says those tenants never told her. She says she also wasn't aware of Seaton's previous conviction for abusing a two-year-old girl. He is now charged with capital murder, while she is in jail for not protecting her son and she accepts blame.

"I feel like it was my fault. I should have done something. He was my baby," Glover said.

Glover cried throughout our interview but she didn't appear to be angry with Seaton.

Police say Glover she watched as Seaton beat her child, but she didn't really answer when we asked her about the claim.

HPD homicide detectives arrived at the Milam County Jail around 5:15pm on Tuesday and they had planned on questioning Seaton before bringing him back to Harris County.

Mom arrested for allegedly having sex with boy

Brandi Fuller, 30, is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child. Brandi Fuller, 30, is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A Pasadena woman accused of having sex with a 12-year-old boy is now behind bars.

Brandi Fuller is being held in Galveston County Jail. The 30-year-old mother of six is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child. She had been at large since she was charged. Details of her arrest have not yet been released. Pasadena police say the boy's mother recently came to them when she grew suspicious that her young son may have fathered a baby with a family friend more than twice his age. That is still unknown, but according to police, the boy, who is now 14, claims Fuller initiated the sexual relationship when he was 12. Investigators also say Fuller admitted to having sex with the boy only one time, but the boy claims it happened 10 or 12 times after the initial incident. According to the affidavit, a police investigator states Fuller admitted to having sex with the boy when she and the children were all sleeping in the same bed, but that he initiated it and that she didn't want to make a big scene, so the encounter took place. Brandi Fuller does have a 10-month-old child, according to her sister. But the sister told Eyewitness News that Fuller claims the baby's father is actually the alleged victim's older brother, and that she's willing to produce DNA to prove it. Man allegedly pretended to be FBI agent

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A local teenager thought she had a great opportunity to learn more about law enforcement. She soon found out that the man who was supposed to be helping her was pretending to be an FBI agent.

When this FBI impersonator offered her a type of internship, she soon found out he had other motives. At a tire shop in northwest Houston, a clean-cut man with a lengthy criminal history was able to con the owners that he was an FBI agent by flashing some fake identification. "He got the badge for like police and business cards for like the guys who are undercover police," said Jesus Seniceros, the stepfather of the victim. James B. Faircloth, 53, pulled into the tire shop at Ella and 34th to get new tires. Through small talk, he learned the owner's daughter was taking classes to become a police officer. That's when Faircloth offered an informal internship. "And he asking the daughter if she want work," Seniceros said He offered to pay the teen $50 a day to assist him a fake surveillance assignment at a west-side motel. He sat her by a window with a photo of a fake suspect, but Faircloth soon turned on adult movies and the teen became uncomfortable. "When they inside in the room, he put like pronos on the TV and she is there and so she had to watch that," Seniceros said. And when he tried to massage the teen, she became scared. "A massage for relax and my daughter said 'no, no I no do it. I want to go," said Gloria Gonzales, the victim's mother. He returned the girl and left. No one answered at his last known address. However, the mother realized her daughter was nervous so she took his license plate down and called police. Faircloth is now in custody. "And my daughter say 'I no want to go anymore mommy.' OK no go," ???????? said. Along with the 17 offenses on his criminal record that include 11 thefts and stalking, he can now add impersonating a public servant. That girl luckily was unharmed.
