HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Young scientists showed off their creations at the annual Young Inventors Showcase Saturday. Children from kindergarten through eighth grade displayed their creativity and engineering skills at the Children's Museum. The inventions included a shoe with a light in it, a magnetic pencil and an underwater wheelchair.
There are prizes for each age group and the grand prize winner gets a free patent application.
