LA PORTE, TX (KTRK) -- A La Porte High School student is under arrest for bringing a gun to school yesterday. The school Crime Stoppers program received a tip that the student had drugs in his backpack yesterday afternoon. When police searched the 17-year-old, they found an unloaded gun in his backpack. He did not have any ammunition.
Parents were notified of the incident and the school posted a statement on its website.
