Man wanted for sex crimes in OH caught in New Caney

NEW CANEY, TX (KTRK) -- Montgomery County deputies uncovered what they say is an extensive child porn collection during a raid in New Caney last night.

Authorities say they also found a disturbing collection of children's underwear during their search of a mobile home belonging to the parents of 23-year-old Shane Trumble. The mobile home on FM 1485 is where investigators say Trumble was hiding out.

Trumble's family is now being evicted from this RV Park following last night's arrest. They have until this weekend to move out.

During Trumble's arrest, detectives apparently found iPads and computers with multiple hard drives and 30 gigabytes of child pornography.

Montgomery County constable deputies say back in June, Trumble moved to the Wild Country RV Park with his relatives. Before then, he lived in Ohio, where he was wanted for sex crimes against children.

Authorities say he never registered as a sex offender here in Texas.

"I have grandkids that live here on the property. I don't want those type of people in the park," said Roger Hollon, manager of the Wild Country RV Park. "If they've been placed in a national registry where you could pull up by their name and their face, we would know who we would be looking at and they wouldn't have been in here."

Trumble is being held without bond in the Montgomery County jail. He also faces charges out of Ohio. In addition, he faces four counts of possession of child pornography related to those cases here in Texas. His bond is set for those cases at $400,000.

Man wanted for stealing hard drives, radar detectors from area Target stores

Sugar Land police are looking for a man who has stolen computer hard drives and radar detectors from numerous Target stores throughout Fort Bend and Harris counties

  SUGAR LAND, TX (KTRK) -- Sugar Land police are looking for a man who has stolen computer hard drives and radar detectors from numerous Target stores throughout Fort Bend and Harris counties.

More than $750 in merchandise has been stolen from the Target store at 16300 Southwest Freeway in Sugar Land during six separate incidents. These crimes occurred on June 6, June 13, June 18, June 23, June 29 and July 10.

The Sugar Land thefts were all discovered on surveillance video after the crimes occurred.

In each incident, the man placed electronics in a basket and later left the store without any visible merchandise. Empty merchandise packages are later found in the store.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, with a thin build, light brown or dark blond hair and square-framed glasses. He often wears a baseball cap, shirts with collars, khaki short and brown flip flop sandals.

A female has been seen on surveillance video dropping the man off and picking him up in a dark green Chevrolet Cavalier. She is described as a white female in her 20s with a thin build and brown hair

Two wanted for credit card theft in League City

League City Police are looking for suspects in purse snatchings and credit card abuse cases in League City.

  LEAGUE CITY, TX (KTRK) -- Two people are on the loose, wanted for stealing credit cards then using them at area stores.

One of the thieves is a man who dresses in women's clothing. They've been caught on surveillance video. An older black woman and a bald black man have been stealing purses at places like Walmart and H-E-B in League City, then using the cards.

Police say in some of the cases, the man dresses like a woman -- wig and all.

The pair has been seen driving a dark blue car, possibly a Toyota Prius.

Suspect on most wanted list arrested

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- One of Houston's top ten most wanted bank robbers is now in custody, accused of ripping off a bank in northwest Harris County.

Investigators arrested Kyle Puglisi at a hotel on the North Freeway. We told you earlier this week, the FBI and local law enforcement are trying to catch the top 10 most wanted bank robbers in the area. You can get a closer look at them here.

Man wanted after pulling gun during fight

A fight between two men ended with one of them shooting the other.

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are investigating a shooting that happened last night in northeast Harris County.

It happened around 10:30pm on Reality near Ottenbury. Police say when an argument escalated between two men, one pulled out a gun and shot the other man twice in the chest. The shooter ran off.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is listed as stable.

"There was a get together here and two of the male subjects became involved in a verbal altercation," said Sgt. C.A. Leithner with the Harris County Sheriff's Office. "One produced a handgun and fired and struck the other male."

Police say they know the shooter's identity and are looking for him.

Man wanted in aggravated robbery of smoke shop

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The search is on for a suspect in an aggravated robbery at an area smoke shop.

On January 23 at approximately 11:40pm, authorities say a black male suspect committed an aggravated robbery at a smoke shop located on the 5200 block of Easthampton in north Harris County. The suspect entered the store and inquired about the purchase of a scale. As a store employee approached the counter, the suspect withdrew a pistol and demanded cash from the registers.

The victim, in fear for his life, complied with the suspect's demands and surrendered an undisclosed amount of cash. Additionally, the suspect filled a plastic bag with several boxes of tobacco products and weight scales. He ordered the store employees to lay face down as he fled the scene in a maroon, four-door Toyota.

The suspect is described was a black male, approximately 20-25 years old, around 5 foot 7, weighing 160-180 lbs. He had a goatee and a clear stone earring. At the time of the offense, the suspect wore a gray colored hoodie with black/white/red stripes, jeans and tennis shoes.

Surveillance cameras captured the offense taking place.

Homes wanted for professional baseball players

  SUGAR LAND, TX (KTRK) -- The Sugar Land Skeeters are currently seeking community members that are interested in becoming a host family for a Skeeters player during the Inaugural 2012 baseball season.

"Our host family program is extremely important to the entire baseball operation," said Michael Kirk, Director of Baseball Operations. "By hosting a player, you give that player, who is otherwise many miles away from their home environment and loved ones, a sense of home during the course of a long season."

Hosting a player gives fans the opportunity to get involved with the Sugar Land Skeeters on a personal level, as one of the players will be an 'adopted member of the family' during his time in Sugar Land.

All that is required to be a host family is a private bedroom and use of a bathroom, washer/dryer and kitchen for a Skeeters player. Any other amenities provided will be greatly appreciated by the player.

"Many players have become like an extended member of our family," said Linda Davidson, a host family member of the York Revolution. "We have stayed in touch with many of the players. Year in and year out, hosting a player in the Atlantic League has been a positive experience for everyone involved."

The Sugar Land Skeeters will play 70 regular season home games annually, starting with the 2012 season beginning on April 26.

Man wanted in brutal murder surrenders to HCSO

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A 22-year-old man accused of brutally murdering a woman in her southwest Houston apartment turned himself in to authorities Sunday.

Stephen Noah Dawkins has been charged with capital murder in the death of Altovise M. Mahone, 27.

Mahone's family discovered her body in her apartment around noon Saturday. They told police they had not heard from her in several days. Investigators determined she was killed late Thursday evening.

Authorities believe Dawkins fled in Mahoney's vehicle. It is also believed he stole other items from the apartment.

Dawkins surrendered to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, officials said. It was unclear if any of the stolen property was recovered.

Man wanted for murdering ex-wife's new husband

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A 25-year-old man is wanted for shooting and killing his ex-wife's new husband during an argument on New Year's Eve.

Louis Armando Rojas remained at large Sunday. Murder charges have been filed against him and an arrest warrant has been issued, officials said.

The shooting happened around 5:30pm Saturday in the 18000 block of Widcombe near Barker Cypress Road and Clay Road.

It was reported that a woman was screaming for help. The woman told police that her husband had been shot by her ex-husband and the ex-husband fled the scene.

Louis Ernesto Loperia, 41, was taken to Methodist Hospital West Campus via ambulance with multiple gunshot wounds, officials said. He later died.

Harris County Sheriff's Office investigators learned that Rojas went to the home to talk to his ex-wife about their five-year-old daughter.

Officials said an argument erupted between Rojas and Loperia. Rojas allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot Loperia several times.

FBI posts wanted billboard of bank robbery suspect

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Do you know Patrick Simmons' whereabouts? It could earn you $30,000 if you do. He is one of the FBI's most wanted fugitives.

The FBI says Simmons and a crew of others were heavily armed when they targeted banks inside grocery stores, including the one inside a Kroger on Voss. He's been wanted for more than a month and the fear is that as time goes on, he has less to lose.

With decorations filling the front yard, the Simmons house in northwest Houston looks ready for holiday gatherings, though there is one family member who won't be there.

"I hadn't talked to him or nothing," Kewanda Simmons said.

Kewanda Simmons says she last talked her brother more than a month ago. On Thursday, Patrick Simmons was named the Houston FBI's Most Wanted Fugitive. His picture now towers over three major freeways.

"He should be considered extremely dangerous," said Shauna Dunlap with the Houston FBI.

The 27-year-old and eight other men are accused of robbing at least eight banks dating back to August 2010. The targets were scattered throughout the area. Most were inside grocery stores, and during one, Harris County Sgt. Michael Ellison was shot.

"Some bank robbers have a note, some threaten a weapon, but don't display one. Some have a handgun. These individuals were armed with handguns, shotguns and assault rifles," Dunlap said.

Those believed to be part of Simmons' crew were arrested on the Gulf Freeway right after an attempted bank robbery in mid-September. Since then, they've been indicted and are in custody, while Simmons remains on the run.

"The longer a fugitive is on the run, the more dangerous it gets, the most desperate they get," Dunlap said.

The billboards advertise the chunk of cash available for information, while Kewanda Simmons seems indifferent about her brother's fugitive status.

"If he saw the TV, would you want to tell him to turn himself in?" we asked her.

"Yes," she replied.

According to the FBI, there were 95 more bank robberies around this time last year, so they're down quite a bit and they attribute that to a number of arrests they've made. In fact, there have been no take-over type bank robberies since this crew was arrested in September, but again, they are still looking for Patrick Simmons.

Simmons is the only fugitive in the case. He is described as a black male, 5-foot-11, approximately 180 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and tattoos on his arms and neck. Investigators believe he is still in the Houston area.

ID theft suspect wanted by police

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police want the public's help finding a suspect accused of using stolen credit card information to buy electronics.

In June 2006, officers executed a search warrant at Nguyen's residence located near the 5000 block of Glenmont, after developing probable cause of credit card abuse. Officers found several electronic items such as cameras, IPods, and stereos at Nguyen's address that had been purchased with stolen credit card information. Nguyen and an accomplice were making these unauthorized purchases with the victim's stolen identity and selling the items on the internet. Nguyen was charged with two felony counts with a no bond and a misdemeanor count with a $5,000 bond. Nguyen is described as an Asian male, 26 years old, 5 foot 6, weighing 160 lbs, with black hair, brown eyes, and light complexion. Hien Quang Nguyen's last known address is near the 5000 block of Glenmont in Houston. Two men wanted in armed carjacking in NW Harris Co.

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Crime Stoppers and Harris County Sheriff's Office investigators need your help to identify those wanted in connection with a carjacking and armed robbery last month.

On April 29 at around 9pm, the victim was leaving a mall in the 29300 block of the Northwest Freeway. As he was loading shopping bags into his car, investigators say a man approached him from behind and pulled out a gun.

The suspect reportedly forced the victim to get into the passenger's side of the car while the suspect got into the driver's seat. Deputies say the suspect drove the victim's vehicle to the bank, where the suspect tried to use the victim's ATM card to get cash.

While the suspect was distracted, investigators say the victim was able to escape and run for help. The suspect fled in the victim's vehicle, which was found abandoned the next day.

The victim's stolen card was used at a nearby gas station. Surveillance video captured images of two suspects in a newer model Gray Dodge Charger. The car's license plates were covered with duct tape.

After an investigation, detectives determined the same two suspects were likely the same men responsible for another armed robbery near the 12000 block of F.M. 1960. They say the suspects attempted to rob a couple as they were loading their groceries. The couple fought with the armed suspect. He fled from the scene and was picked up by a newer model gray Dodge Charger.

One suspect is described as a black male, between 20 and 30 years of age, standing between 6-feet and 6-foot-2, weighing between 180 and 200 pounds with patchy facial hair, a fade haircut and dark complexion. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

The second suspect is described as a black male, between 17 and 25 years of age, standing between 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-11, weighing between 150-160 pounds, with facial hair and a dark complexion. He was wearing a white shirt, red shorts and white tennis shoes.

The suspect vehicle is described as a newer model gray Dodge Charger.

Teen suspect wanted on four felony charges

Vernell Bazile, 19, is wanted on charges of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, felony assault on a family/house member, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and evading arrest/detention in a motor vehicle

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Detectives say they are searching for an "extremely dangerous" suspect who is wanted on four felony charges, including robbery and assault.

Vernell Bazile, 19, is wanted on charges of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, felony assault on a family/house member, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and evading arrest/detention in a motor vehicle, according to a Crime Stoppers statement. Bazile is accused of choking a 16-year-old girl until she fell unconscious on May 2. He then allegedly threatened to fatally shoot the victim's mother if she didn't hand over the keys to her Chevrolet Tahoe. Detectives say Bazile was out on bond for two unrelated charges -- unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and evading arrest/detention in a motor vehicle. After the new allegations were made against him, his bond was forfeited and four new warrants without bond were issued. Subject Bazil is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs around 145 pounds. He has black hair with brown eyes and a dark complexion. Authorities consider Bazile to be armed and "extremely dangerous," according to the Crime Stoppers statement. Man wanted in accidental shooting at HISD school

Wrolandrea Hensley, 30, is charged with making a firearm accessible to a child.

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A warrant has been issued, in connection with last month's accidental shooting at a Houston elementary school.

Police are working to track down Wrolandrea Hensley. He's been charged with 15 counts of making a firearm accessible to a minor. Last month, a six-year-old boy took a loaded handgun to Betsy Ross Elementary School. Police say it fell out of his pocket and went off during lunch, injuring the boy and two other children.

Police have not said how Hensley and the boy know each other.

Suspect wanted in fatal shooting, wounding of two others

Pedro Rodriguez, 32, is charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault in the 230th State District Court.

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A suspect is wanted in the fatal shooting of a man and wounding of two others in northwest Houston last week.

Pedro Rodriguez, 32, is charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault in the 230th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Victor Ramirez. Police say there appeared to be an argument between four adult male neighbors at 7550 Long Point Road about 12:15am on May 2. Indications are one of the neighbors (Rodriguez) produced a gun and shot the other three. Rodriguez then fled the scene. Ramirez, 43, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital. A second male was also shot multiple times and was in critical condition at an area hospital. The third victim was hospitalized in stable condition after suffering one gunshot wound. Most wanted fugitive caught in northeast Houston

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A Houston sex offender on the state's most wanted fugitives list was arrested in northeast Houston.

Timothy Rosales, 40, has been wanted since January, when he allegedly cut off his electronic monitoring device and fled from a Houston halfway house, according to a Harris County Precinct 6 statement. He had been staying at the halfway home since his 2007 release from prison for two aggravated sexual convictions. Rosales, who had spent 25 years in confinement, was considered armed and dangerous. Man wanted for continued sexual abuse of child

Carlos Moreno Depaz is charged with one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child and a warrant was issued for his arrest with a $30,000 bond

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Law enforcement officials are asking for the public's help in finding a man who is wanted for continuous sexual abuse of a child.

The 14-year-old female victim disclosed to child abuse investigators and forensic interviewers at the Children's Assessment Center that Carlos Moreno Depaz had sexually abused her numerous times while at a residence in Houston. The girl stated the abuse began when she was 11 years old. Depaz would touch her in a sexual manner. She said the abuse continued until the victim was approximately 13 years old. Depaz is charged with one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child and a warrant was issued for his arrest with a $30,000 bond. Depaz, 42, is a Hispanic male, 5 foot 6 and weighs 185 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes with a medium complexion. His last know address is near the 1000 block of Hanks in Houston.
