HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A Houston police officer shot at a gun-wielding suspect who took aim at that officer twice in southwest Houston last night.
The patrol officer was answering a call for backup from an undercover officer at an apartment complex on Westpark and Gessner.
That undercover officer had spotted the gunman fighting with a woman and then pointing the gun at her. When the undercover officer intervened, the man ran off with the gun. During the foot chase, a patrol officer says the man aimed at him with the gun. Both times the officer opened fire and both times the suspect was not hit.
Eventually other officers captured the gunman. No one was hurt.
