HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Authorities are asking for the public's assistance in identifying suspects and their vehicle seen in segments of a surveillance video in the fatal shooting of a child. The unknown suspects are wanted in the death of 11-month-old Forever Donatto. Police say on August 19 at around 3am the baby and several other persons were inside a vehicle parked in the driveway at 8339 Ponnel Lane when an unknown male suspect in a SUV fired several shots in the vehicle's direction, striking it several times. One of the bullets penetrated the back seat of the car and struck the baby. She was transported to Texas Children's Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time, police say.
In the surveillance video, the suspect(s) was seen driving in a dark colored, full-sized sport utility vehicle with specialty rims. Two unknown males seen running are believed to be the same individuals inside a vehicle driving by the residence as the gunfire happens (at the :33 mark). Just prior to that, the vehicle with the baby inside pulls into the driveway. Still photos of the wanted vehicle begin at the :53 mark of the video.
