HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man is in custody for allegedly engaging in sexually explicit conversations and video performances via Skype. The Harris County Precinct 4 Constables Office conducted an investigation after a family came forward and reported their 15-year-old daughter had been communicating with a man via Skype.
Investigators learned the juvenile and the man, Stormy Christopher Smith, met through a mutual friend and they struck up a relationship by communicating over Skype. Investigators say Smith engaged in video sexual performances via Skype with the girl.
Smith, 23, is charged with one felony count of online solicitation of a minor and one felony count of sexual performance by a child.
He was arrested by the Montgomery Co. Precinct 4 Constables Office late Wednesday night. Bond has been set at $40,000 total.
