Constructions spent the night repairing a freeway overpass. 
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- TxDOT had to inspect the East Freeway after a piece of metal ripped open the top of a big rig last night. It happened on the eastbound side of the freeway near Meadow just after 11pm. Police say the metal ripped open the 18-wheeler like a can opener. HPD shut down the freeway to prevent other trucks from hitting the metal. TxDOT removed the metal from underneath the overpass, but closed it for about three hours to make sure it was safe for your morning drive.
