  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Two men are now in custody after a high-speed chase through two counties.

Deputies in Montgomery County say they tried to stop a car Tuesday evening on FM 1314 for making an illegal u-turn, but the driver took off. Deputies pursued the vehicle on FM 1314 to Highway 59 in northeast Harris County where the vehicle reached speeds over 100mph. We caught the chase into northeast Houston on Transtar Jam Cams.

The two suspects jumped out of the SUV in the 1700 block of Saddler in north Houston, but were caught a short time later.

Deputies say they found 250 pounds of marijuana in the SUV with an estimated street value of more than $132,000.

Jesus Alvarado, 32, and Gregorio Ramirez, 23, are both facing charges of possession of marijuana and evading. Alvarado faces an additional charge of possession of a firearm.
