HOUSTON (KTRK) -- There's a traffic alert to tell you about if you are heading downtown this weekend. Crews are shutting down Main Street as they continue to work on expanding METRO rail. Main Street between Texas and Walker will be shut down at 7pm tonight and won't reopen until 4am Monday.
METRO is currently expanding its light rail with three new lines under construction. Businesses on Main Street will still be open during the closure.
