HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police say a man was shot and a woman was assaulted when they caught a group of people burglarizing a truck yard in northeast Houston. It happened around 12:30am at a business on Mesa near Talton.
Investigators say the man and woman were working when they spotted the thieves.
The man was shot once in the chest and the woman was physically assaulted.
At last check, the man was in critical condition at an area hospital.
The suspects are on the loose.
