Suspect arrested in deadly home invasion

 Theodore Estrello is charged with capital murder in the home invasion murder of Sergio Blas, Jr.

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police have made an arrest in the deadly home invasion case that left a father dead while his young daughter hid in another room.

The South Houston Police Department arrested Theodore Estrello and charged him with capital murder. Estrello was identified through a photo lineup by a witness.

Police say Estrello and an accomplice were involved in a home invasion on Thursday, April 14, in the 1600 block of Spencer in South Houston. The two suspects murdered Sergio Blas, Jr., 29, while his two-year-old daughter was in the other room.


The victim's wife returned home from dropping children off at school to discover his body bound with some type of cord, dead in the living room. Their daughter was unhurt, hiding under blankets in a back bedroom.
