Female worker rescued from ship's hold

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A woman has been rescued from the hold of a ship at the Port of Houston.

According to Port of Houston Authority spokesperson Lisa Ashley, the female worker fell into the vessel's hold and was lifted out by emergency personnel via stretcher. She was conscious and alert at the time of the rescue, but there's no additional information on her condition and the nature of the accident at this time.

Ashley added that the woman is not a Port Authority employee.
