A car hit a 7-year-old child riding his bicycle in far southwest Houston. 
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A seven-year old boy is recovering after he was hit by a car while riding his bike in southwest Houston last night. It happened around 8pm on Tiger Lilly near Altair Way. Authorities say the child possibly broke his leg and had head injuries. The driver who hit the boy did stay at the scene.
People who live nearby say there have been several accidents on the street due to speeding vehicles. There is no word if speed was a factor in this accident.
