HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A grandmother was arrested Thursday night after police say she left two kids in the car while she went shopping at a southwest Houston store.
The two boys -- approximately three to five years old -- were left alone inside a car in the parking lot of the Walmart at 9600 block of West Sam Houston Parkway.
Temperatures fell to around 48 degrees Thursday night. The car was apparently not on, and the kids got cold.
Police say the kids were left alone for at least one hour before an announcement was made over the intercom of the store and they located the grandmother.
The grandmother now faces charges of child endangerment.
