HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Investigators say a woman was struck and killed while trying to cross a busy road Sunday morning. It happened around 2am in the 4100 block of Highway 6 near Clay Road in west Harris County.
Deputies say the victim was walking westbound across Highway 6 when she was struck by a southbound Toyota Camry.
The driver stopped at the scene and waited for crews to arrive.
The woman was dead by the time crews arrived.
Investigators say no charges are expected against the driver. The crash remains under investigation.
