HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man is dead after a single-vehicle accident in southeast Houston overnight. It happened along the East Loop near Lawndale. Investigators say the driver of an Impala was speeding when he lost control and ran into a barricade. The man went through the windshield.
The victim was dead by the time paramedics arrived.

It happened around 3:30am on Highway 59 near Fondren.
Investigators say the car went through a guardrail and then crashed into a light pole before flipping onto its side.
One man was ejected from the vehicle. The other two were rescued using the jaws of life.
There is no word on their conditions. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
