4 killed in overnight rollover

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police said alcohol may have played a role in crash that killed four people overnight.

It happened on the Eastex Freeway feeder near Saunders in northeast Houston.

Police said the driver of a pickup truck lost control and the truck flipped multiple times.

Five men in their 20s were inside the truck. Three died instantly, including the driver, and a fourth person died at the hospital.

One man remained in the hospital this morning.'

Police suspect the driver may have been intoxicated.

Suspected drunk driver recovering after rollover rescue

See it on TV? Check here.   HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A suspected drunken driver was recovering Saturday after being rescued from a rollover in southeast Houston.

According to police, a pickup truck was eastbound on the South Loop feeder around 11pm when the driver swerved off the road for unknown reasons.

A witness told investigators it almost looked like the driver thought he was taking an entrance ramp to enter onto the freeway.

The truck drove into the trees between the freeway and feeder road, plowing down several small trees and hitting the guard rail at the top.

Authorities said the truck flipped and the driver was pinned inside. Firefighters had to cut him out of the vehicle and he was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital. At last check, he was stable.

Police believe he may have been highly intoxicated. A blood test was performed at the hospital.

Two thrown from pickup in rollover crash

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police say a pickup driver and his passenger were ejected after crashing in west Houston overnight.

It happened around 11:30pm on Bellaire near Rooken. Witnesses say the driver was speeding when he hit a curb and rolled over several times.

Both the driver and passenger went to the hospital in critical condition. Police say alcohol could be a factor in the crash but the investigation is ongoing.

Three hospitalized after SUV rollover

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A sports utility vehicle flipped on the Sam Houston Parkway late Saturday, sending three people to the hospital.

Houston police say around midnight Saturday night, an SUV lost control on the Southwest Freeway entrance ramp from W. Sam Houston Pkwy. S.

It hit a wall and rolled over, sliding down the ramp.

Eight people were in the SUV, including three children.

Rescue crews were forced to cut the roof of the vehicle to reach the pinned driver.

Three people were sent to the hospital. Two of them were in serious condition.
