4 killed in overnight rollover

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police said alcohol may have played a role in crash that killed four people overnight.

It happened on the Eastex Freeway feeder near Saunders in northeast Houston.

Police said the driver of a pickup truck lost control and the truck flipped multiple times.

Five men in their 20s were inside the truck. Three died instantly, including the driver, and a fourth person died at the hospital.

One man remained in the hospital this morning.'

Police suspect the driver may have been intoxicated.

Two killed in overnight wreck in NW Houston

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A crash in northwest Houston left two people dead and sent a third to the hospital.

Two vehicles crashed on the Northwest Freeway near Magnum around 2am. It's unclear which driver caused the crash.

The survivor's condition is unknown.

Overnight wreck shuts down Northwest Freeway

See it on TV? Check here.   HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Two people were hurt in an accident in northwest Houston overnight.

It happened on the Northwest Freeway at 43rd Street. Police say a driver slammed into the back of another vehicle, causing both cars to roll over. Both drivers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The freeway was partially closed due to the police investigation, but it has since been reopened.

Overnight car break-ins on rise in Sugar Land

See it on TV? Check here.   SUGAR LAND, TX (KTRK) -- Sugar Land police say there's been an increase in overnight burglaries of vehicles parked at homes overnight.

Police are now asking resident to take a few simple steps to this type of crime. They say always keep your vehicle locked. When parked overnight, make sure to remove all valuables or lock them in the trunk. Overnight SWAT standoff ends peacefully

A SWAT team was able to convince a local man to surrender after a standoff that lasted more than two hours.

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man was arrested after a two and a half hour standoff Saturday night in northwest Harris County.

Police were called to a disturbance at a home in the 5400 block of Winding Way near Sheraton Oaks around 10:30pm Saturday.

A woman told officers her husband was threatening her and threatening to hurt himself. He had several guns inside the home, officials said.


A SWAT team responded. They were able to convince the man to surrender after about two and a half hours.


No shots were ever fired and one was injured during the incident, officials said. The man was taken into custody and sent for psychiatric evaluation.
