Cypress man accused of posting sex photos online

  CYPRESS, TX (KTRK) -- A Cypress man is facing charges after allegedly posting photos and videos online of him and his ex-girlfriend engaging in sex acts.

Eduardo Monsivias, 47, is charged with improper photography and visual recording. Investigators say the sexual images were posted from October 24, 2011, through January 22, of this year. They're reportedly from inside his home.

According to court documents, the victim -- who says she ended the relationship nearly two years prior -- discovered the images while doing a web search on her name. She says she was unaware the the recordings were being made at the time.

Investigators were able to obtain a search warrant and confiscated memory cards and computers from Monsivias' home, which reportedly contained several still photos and videos of Monsivias and the victim engaged in sex acts.

Monsivias has not yet been arrested. His bail has been set at $2,000.

Seven arrested in online prostitution sting

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff's Office Vice Unit made several arrests yesterday during an undercover prostitution sting in north Harris County.

The operation focused on suspects soliciting sex online. Female undercover deputies advertised as escorts on the internet and arranged for solicitors to meet them at a prearranged location off of I-45 North and FM 1960, officials said.

Once suspects arrived and made an agreement with the undercover deputies to receive sexual services in exchange for money, they were arrested.

The operation resulted in the arrest of seven males. All of the following have been charged for prostitution: Eric Lucero, 43; Jose Dubon, 42; Richard Wayne Learn, 65; Richard Anthony Thompson, 51; Joseph Francis Andolino, 59; Dean Andrew Starke, 52; and Michael Allen Barth, 50.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office will continue to conduct similar reverse prostitution operations targeting not only those who solicit sex but those who sell sex as well.

Houston man guilty in online prostitution ads case

  HOUSTON -- Prosecutors say a Houston man who had used a hotel business center to post online ads offering a woman for prostitution faces up to 10 years in prison.

Jerald Bland pleaded guilty Tuesday in Houston to transportation of a woman for commercial sex. Sentencing is March 20 for Bland, who remains in custody.

Prosecutors say Bland during 2010 transported a woman to Beaumont and to Louisiana to work as a prostitute. Investigators used online ads and corresponding hotel records in New Orleans, Lake Charles, Lafayette and Baton Rouge, La.

Prosecutors say at one hotel an employee discovered that the business center was used to post Internet ads for prostitution.

Further details on the woman and the hotels were not immediately released.
