Toddler located safely after Amber Alert issued

  PASADENA, TX (KTRK) -- The Pasadena Police Department issued an Amber Alert for a two-year-old who was missing with her babysitter after an outing to Walmart.

Melanie Mireles had been last seen around 8:30am Tuesday with her babysitter, Jessica Garcia, at the Walmart at 1107 Shaver in Pasadena.

Officials feared for the toddler's safety and issued the Amber Alert shortly before 11pm. But just a couple of hours after that, the alert was cancelled when Melanie was safely located and returned to her mother. She was not injured.

The babysitter is in police custody with criminal charges pending.

No other details were available.

Pistons plane lands safely in Houston despite reported issues

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A plane carrying some members of the Detroit Pistons landed safely in Houston after experiencing some issues Monday afternoon.

The Houston-bound private chartered flight for the team started having hydraulic issues on the left side of the aircraft so an alarm sounded, according to the Houston Fire Department. However, the plane landed about 30 minutes later at 5:30pm without incident.

None of the 44 people aboard the plane was injured and authorities determined everything with the place was OK.
