Live stream offered of historic tree to be moved

See it on TV? Check here.   LEAGUE CITY, TX (KTRK) -- A piece of League City history on the move and now you can watch its progress live.

A century old League City tree was in danger of being cut down to make room for improvements to Louisiana Avenue. Instead, city leaders hired landscaping experts to unearth the giant oak and move it to another location. Last week, we showed you how crews were prepping the tree for the big move, now you can watch the process online.

League City posted a live stream on its website. The tree isn't scheduled to be moved until June 5 but there is plenty more to do before it's moved. You can check in on its progress anytime online.

Former Enron exec Fastow moved to Houston halfway house

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Former Enron executive Andrew Fastow is out of prison and back in Houston.

Published reports say Fastow was moved from a prison in Louisiana to a halfway house in the Houston area. He's expected to remain there until December. Fastow was considered the mastermind behind the financial schemes that led to Enron's downfall.

He pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges in 2006 and was sentenced to six years in prison.

Fastow received a reduced sentence for testifying against former Enron CEO Jeff Skilling and Kenneth Lay. Lay and Skilling were convicted of fraud and conspiracy. Lay died before going to prison. Skilling awaits resentencing after the supreme court overturned his 24 year sentence.
