A West University police officer collided with another driver while en route to a call overnight. A West University police officer collided with another driver while en route to a call overnight.

  WEST UNIVERSITY, TX (KTRK) -- A West University officer believed to have been responding to a chase ended up in a car crash at Weslayan and Bissonnet.

Her patrol car and a civilian SUV collided. The impact was intense enough to crumple the patrol car's hood. The officer was taken to the hospital to be treated for her non life-threatening injuries.

The civilian woman driving the other vehicle was not hurt.

See it on TV? Check here.A suspected drunk driver collided with an 18-wheeler in north Harris County. A suspected drunk driver collided with an 18-wheeler in north Harris County.

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A car was cut in half underneath a big rig in north Houston and amazingly, the driver is expected to be OK.

It happened around 1:30am at the North Freeway and Richey. Police say the driver of the car was speeding and ran a red light slamming into the 18-wheeler who was crossing with a green light. The car skidded under the big rig and became stuck.

The driver was sent to the hospital and is listed in stable condition. Police suspect he may have been drinking.
