Mattress Mack Jim McIngvale donates $150,000 to Fort Bend ISD's Kickstart Kids program, which was founded by action star Chuck Norris. 
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Mattress Mack teamed up with action movie superstar Chuck Norris to save a local martial arts program for kids. "After seeing the news reports about the district's decision to defund the programs, I decided that something had to be done to make sure the kids didn't lose this great opportunity," Mattress Mack Jim McIngvale said. "I funded the first program back in the 90's so it feels great to be able to help these schools and I hope that the community will rally to raise the rest of the money." McIngvale donated $150,000 to Ford Bend ISD's Kickstart Kids program. Budget problems forced the school district to get rid of the six instructors who teach martial arts to about 1,500 students.
