Two suspected burglars lead police on brief chase

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police arrested two burglary suspects after a short chase this morning.

Authorities responded to an alarm at a convenience store on Usener around 4:30am. They saw two men jump into a car and take off. Police chased them down White Oak through a neighborhood to Crockett.

The driver was trying to turn onto South Street when he lost control and hit a telephone pole. The suspects jumped out of the car and tried to run, but were quickly caught.

Brief police chase ends in crash in NW Harris Co.

  HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man is in custody after leading deputies on a short chase through northwest Harris County last night.

Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call around 11:45pm and were told a man involved had left. Another unit spotted the man on Kuykendahl and tried to pull him over for speeding, but he took off. The man took a turn too fast and hit a curb before crashing into a tree.

He tried to run away but deputies used a Taser to subdue the suspect. The man was arrested.
