HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston Independent School District is awarding nearly $3 million in scholarships tonight to more than 700 graduating high school seniors. It's all part of the district's Project Grad program.
The students are from Davis, Reagan, Sam Houson, Wheatley and Yates High Schools.
Project Grad graduation initiatives in economically-disadvantaged high schools.
The ceremony begins at 8pm at the George R. Brown convention center.
